Training

Training by Sébastien Chavanel

Aside from traditional planning and preparation, I believe in mentoring the athlete.
To have confidence in one’s training program, and all it entails, is to have confidence in one’s success.
Training isn’t about suffering; it’s about productive methods of working without stress.
Training allows you to perform well in races, not the other way around.
To train well is to invest one’s profession. It’s the rider, not the trainer, who trains.
The coach’s role is to better understand the rider so as to help him or her better reach their full potential.

Why did I become a coach :

I’m motivated by the desire to share my experience with others. My 14 years as a professional rider brought me great satisfaction but, more importantly, taught me how to continue to learn, evolve and challenge myself.
Towards the end of my career, I discovered a way of training that gave me a taste for hard work. It wasn’t prescriptive, instead it motivated me to go out to train. Today, this is the method I want to share with you.

Roxane Fournier

“A wonderful week spent on the heights of Montpellier within TrainingPic with Sébastien Chavanel. A heavenly place for all cyclists with a diversity of panoramas, beautiful landscape and very little traffic to put the kms with a smile .. It changes for a Parisian! As a coach, Sébastien is a true professional, passionate and very pedagogue. He knew how to be attentive, listening and triggering real progress throughout the week thanks to a daily following. My week in the Auberge du Cèdre was relaxing and invigorating mixing training and recovery of quality. All to prepare a successful sports season! Thanks @TrainingPic”
